How do I refer a buyer for down payment assistance?

Use the form on this page or call Mike Certo at (480) 296-6513. Send your name and your buyer's name and phone number. We reach out the same business day, match them to an Arizona assistance program they qualify for, and keep you updated through closing.

How much can assistance cover?

Most Arizona programs provide assistance worth roughly 3.5% to 6.5% of the loan amount toward the down payment and closing costs, paired with a conventional, FHA, VA, or USDA first mortgage. The exact amount depends on the program and the buyer's profile. Only one assistance program is allowed per transaction.

Does my buyer have to be a first-time buyer?

Not usually. Home Plus and Home in Five allow repeat buyers, not just first-time buyers. A few programs, like Arizona Is Home, do require first-time status, meaning no home owned in the last three years. We match each buyer to a program that fits.

What does it cost me to refer?

Nothing. Referring a buyer is free and there is no obligation. We are a participating lender, not the program administrator, and we will tell you honestly whether assistance is the right move for your buyer.
